FAQ
Questions our valued customers ask about our new release of the next range for Nomadic - FÍOR 55G GMT
What is a GMT?
A GMT watch is a timepiece which displays asecond time zone, in addition to local time. This is achieved by an additional ‘GMT’ hand which rotates once every 24hrs in addition to the traditional 12hr hands showing the hours, minutes and seconds in local time. Originally developed for pilots in the 1950’s and named after Greenwich Mean Time, the international standard for air travel. Pilots would set their 24hr hand to always remain at GMT time, then adjust the 12hr hands to local time in whatever country they landed.
How do I set the dual time zone?
The Fíor 555 stands out with its dual timezone feature, extended power reserve, and exceptional luminosity, making it ideal for travelers and adventurers alike. The Fíor 555’s ‘quickset’ 24hr hand can be easily adjusted to display a second time zone, allowing you to keep track of local time and home time simultaneously.
Can the Fíor 555 withstand extreme conditions?
Yes, designed for adventurers, the Fíor 555 is built to endure challenging environments, from underwater depths to mountain heights.
Where can I purchase the Fíor 555?
The Fíor 555 is available for pre-order directly through our website, with deliveries expected to begin in late November 2024.
