Introducing the Fíor 555: Nomadic Watches’ First GMT Timepiece

We’ve come a long way in three years of business at Nomadic Watches, and last week marked a milestone moment and very special one at that.  We, of course, unveiled the highly anticipated Fíor 555 GMT Watch—our very first GMT timepiece. Drawing inspiration from Belfast, the city we proudly call home, this latest release represents not just an expansion of our collection, but a tribute to our roots, and inspiration to celebrate yours.

The “555” in its name marks Belfast’s geographical coordinates, 54°34' North, 5°55' West, anchoring the Fíor 555 to its heritage. Meanwhile, the word “Fíor,” meaning “true” in Irish, is a fitting homage to the heart of Nomadic Watches—a brand that values authenticity, craftsmanship, and connection. For anyone who has left their hometown behind but still feels the pull of where they began, this watch is a reminder that no matter how far you go, home is always a part of your journey.

Designed for the Adventurer at Heart

The Fíor 555 GMT is crafted for those who roam the world but want to stay grounded. Whether it’s tracking time at home while exploring a different corner of the world or juggling business across multiple time zones, this dual-time feature is as practical as it is elegant, and of course this 24 hour hand had to be our iconic yellow.

At 41mm, it strikes the perfect balance between presence and wearability, making it versatile enough for any occasion. All colourways available are bold, eye-catching, and boast their own distinctive flair. The whole timepiece shouts of rugged sophistication, while the All-New Aerolink ‘Jubilee’ inspired bracelet, brings refinement and class. Each two-toned, bi-directional bezel boasts X1 Super-LumiNova®, ensuring it stands out in low-light conditions, while in daylight hours, this beauty will turn heads and stand out all by itself.

The watch is powered by the Swiss Sellita SW330-2 movement, known for its reliability and accuracy. With a weekend-proof power reserve of up to 56 hours, you can trust it to keep running smoothly through your longest adventures. And of course, it’s water-resistant up to 200 meters, meaning it’s built to handle the demands of life on land or at sea.

A Milestone for Nomadic

The launch of the Fíor 555 was celebrated aboard the SS Nomadic, the ship from which we proudly take our name. It was a symbolic moment for us—showcasing our first-ever GMT watch aboard such an iconic vessel. Surrounded by our loyal customers, press, and industry leaders, it was a moment of pride for everyone at Nomadic.

As Founder Peter McAuley shared during the event: "Hosting our event aboard the SS Nomadic was always a 'what if' dream for me and the team. To actually stand on this iconic ship, unveiling our first GMT watch, was an unforgettable, pinch-yourself moment."

telling more than time

We're inspired by the people who wear our watches and their stories.

We believe that life is made up of moments.

Those moments, measured by time and swept across the face of our watches, are captured as memories forever.

It's, looking back often... moving forwards always.

Making progress.
