At Nomadic, we believe every milestone deserves to be marked in a way that lasts a lifetime. For members of the New York Police Department, that milestone was the pride of belonging to their unit, and they wanted something each officer could carry with them as a personal reminder of their service.
A watch was the natural choice - something worn every day, both practical and deeply symbolic, serving as a constant reminder of unity and commitment. The design drew inspiration from the NYPD’s original black and green colours, with the unit logo placed above six o’clock on the dial. To make each piece truly personal, the officer’s name and badge number were engraved around the caseback, and a distinctive gold seconds hand was added to set this edition apart.
The most striking detail came with the movement itself. On the back, a custom rotor was created in the shape of a 1920s-style police truck, a nod to the department’s heritage.
The end result was more than just a timepiece. It's a wearable emblem of service, unity, and pride, a lasting connection to a moment in each officer’s career and to the shared history of their unit.
