Our First Permanent Dublin Boutique Opens This November

Following the success of our partnership with Weir & Sons, we’re delighted to announce that Nomadic will open its first standalone Dublin boutique this November.

Our new home at 6 Castle Market Street sits in the heart of Dublin’s retail district, just minutes from Grafton Street, and marks an important next step in our ambition to build a world-class Irish watch brand.

Designed and hand-assembled in Belfast, Nomadic watches are now worn by clients in more than 50 countries. The Dublin boutique will become our second permanent retail location in Ireland, following the opening of our flagship Belfast store and workshop beside Belfast City Hall in July 2025.

From Belfast to Dublin

Our Belfast flagship was created to bring clients closer to the watchmaking process. Through the glass of our workshop, visitors can see our watchmakers assembling and fine-tuning watches while discovering more about the people, stories and engineering that inspire Nomadic.

The response since opening has exceeded our expectations. The Belfast boutique has accounted for more than 30% of our revenue during its first year and has welcomed clients from across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US, including international visitors who have made the journey to Belfast specifically to meet the team and experience Nomadic first-hand.

At the same time, Dublin has become an increasingly important part of our story.

We first partnered with Weir & Sons in December 2025. In 2026, that relationship grew further when Weir & Sons began stocking Nomadic watches in more stores. 

The response from clients in Dublin gave us the confidence to take the next step: establishing a permanent home in the city.

A New Home in the Irish Capital

Peter McAuley, founder and managing director of Nomadic Watches, said:

“Opening in Dublin feels like a natural and important next step for Nomadic. We founded the business with the ambition of putting Ireland on the watchmaking map, and establishing a permanent presence in the heart of the capital brings us closer to fulfilling that mission.

“When Chris and Lucinda Andrews first gave a relatively unknown Belfast watch brand space in the window of Weir & Sons on Grafton Street last Christmas, they took a chance on us. The reception from the people of Dublin was incredibly warm, and I think the sales surprised all of us. There were watches we simply couldn’t keep in stock.

“Less than 12 months later, we’re opening a standalone store together and giving Nomadic a proper home in Dublin. We can’t wait to open the doors in November and welcome everyone inside.”

The Nomadic Story Continues

Founded in Belfast in 2021, Nomadic takes its name from the SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world.

Our watches draw inspiration from Belfast’s shipbuilding heritage, ambitious engineering projects and spirit of adventure. We create modern, attainable tool watches designed for durability, everyday wear and the journeys still to come.

Opening in Dublin represents another important chapter in that story, and an opportunity to bring Nomadic closer to watch enthusiasts across the island of Ireland and beyond.
